Prana Yoga YYC is a heart-led, boutique yoga practice founded and run by María, a dedicated instructor with over 5 years of experience teaching in the Calgary community. Rooted in the principles of mindfulness and connection, Prana Yoga YYC offers a welcoming space where students are encouraged to explore movement, breath, and presence at their own pace. María’s teaching style is centered on fostering deep self-awareness and compassion, helping each practitioner uncover the beauty of the present moment. Whether you’re new to yoga or deepening your practice, Prana Yoga YYC invites you to step onto the mat with curiosity and gratitude.

The yin style of long-held passive poses opens your body to more flexibility while engendering a contemplative quality of mind. A more active yang style of vinyasa follows, strengthening and invigorating your body and mind.

WAIVER
If you are new to Prana Yoga YYC, or you have not completed a waiver in the past year you must complete our waiver prior to participating in a class, or workshop.

I just wanted to pass along a little gratitude for Maria from today’s yin/restorative class.
A lot of people like to say they care about others, but you could tell that she really does; she spent most of the class walking around and making sure everyone was set up just right and that they had everything they need. There seemed to be quite a few newbies and that is exactly the kind of impression you want to put forward to someone who wouldn’t otherwise know what’s going on.
Anyways, I just wanted to make sure she was recognized for being a great ambassador for yin as a concept and also the studio.
